When you give to the Cancer Institute at Alexian Brothers Hospital Network, you provide help and hope to people facing the crisis of cancer right now. The Life Enrichment Center: Created to help families cope with a cancer diagnosis, the Life Enrichment Center houses a library with Internet access and a special CancerHelp touch screen that provides up-to-date cancer information in English and Spanish from the National Cancer Institute. Our boutique caters to patient's cosmetic needs, including wigs and breast prosthesis. The Life Enrichment Center also offers massage therapy, fitness programs, pastoral care, genetics and nutritional counseling, clinical trials research, individual and group support counseling and education programs. Lung Cancer Clinical Research Assistance: Help provide the financial means for patients to participate in lung cancer clinical trials. The research conducted at the Cancer Institute allows patients to participate in National trials without needing to travel to major universities. High Risk Genetic Counseling: Help empower people to reduce their risk of cancer by helping provide risk assessment, education, counseling and testing, when appropriate for patients and families at risk for developing breast, ovarian, colon, uterine and melanoma cancers. An unrestricted gift to the area of greatest need at the Cancer Institute helps us to expand our programs and services across the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network.
